Catch this Aix-en-Provence contemporary dance company on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday (April 23, 24, 25) at Meany Hall. The program? Les 4 saisons. Leave it to the French to find something new in a piece of music that has been around for almost 300 years.
By the way, this is the last dance performance of a fine season presented by UW World Series. The next dance offering is in October: Paul Taylor Dance Company opens UWWS’s 2009/10 season.

Born in France to Albanian parents, Angelin Preljocaj (“PREL-jzoh-cahjz”) founded his first dance company in December 1984. After various iterations, it became Ballet Preljocaj in 1996, when it gained a permanent home in Aix-en-Provence. Preljocaj creates one or two works per year, for his own company and for others. In 20 years, he has choreographed 38 pieces, eight of which are performed internationally.
