The nights are longer. Our social obligations are gone. So let’s sit down together with a dine-in cocktail and bites from local establishment Cure and support the continuation of artmaking with a special program offering from us to you.
With our MC Devon Snethen kindling the livestream waves with his buoyant energy, we’re broadcasting from YouTube Live as your favorite Co-artistic Directors and guest hosts Christin Call and Natascha Greenwalt revisit past performances, works for film, and new projects that have emerged during the past year despite the challenges of quarantine. We’ll delve into what a world in flux means for us as we continue our mission to tell stories of strength through vulnerability.
You’ll have a chance to chat with us and ask us questions throughout the evening as we also announce some exciting new ventures for Coriolis! Get inside details from the Co-artistic Directors, our board, and collaborators on the history, development, and growth of Coriolis and help us raise the funds we need to keep going stronger than ever.
We’re continuing to create, even during COVID. And we’ve missed you. Let’s connect, make a toast, and enjoy some art in support of our future programming. Special treats are available if we reach our donation goal of $2,500!
Jacky and Camille – Arc 3 revisited from What is Home
Filmed in 2018
Choreography/Direction/Editing – Christin Call
Performers – Madeline DeVries, Marissa Quimby
Director of Photography – Warren Woo
This excerpt from What is Home an Obscure Kingdom an Opera Buffa It’s You Always You magnifies the relationship between two of the five characters during the last act of the work. Originally conceived as a large-scale audience-immersive work, this piece is re-worked for a single level stage and traditional viewing experience.
Untitled (Dance Telephone)
(New work in progress – started in April 2020)
Choreography/Performances – Christin Call, Madeleine Gregor
Editing – Christin Call
In order to explore the limitations of remote collaboration Christin and Maddie have, for the last seven months, alternated choreographing 16 counts each, sending each other one video with instruction and no further discussion. What unfolds is an ongoing development of individual interpretation and nonverbal co-axial verisimilitude.

The transcendent finale to the full length work Transit of Metis, Athena Unfettered represents Athena’s power, born of her mother Metis’s cunning. Like Metis we may at times feel diminished to but a fly yet are able to move forward from these moments in the metaphorical armour of courage and resilience.
Concept/Direction – Christin Call, Natascha Greenwalt
Performance – Madeleine Gregor
