Noveltease Theatre: Sleeping Beauty and the Bear Prince

March 28 @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm

Woven together from fairy tales and folklore from France, Venezuela, Norway, Russia, and the Lakota and Myaamia nations, Noveltease’s Sleeping Beauty is an ensemble-driven adaptation which follows Princess Aurora’s quest to rescue her true love and reawaken from her cursed slumber.

Anya Knees and Fosse Jack’s delightfully queer script will be brought to life under the movement-centered direction of guest artist Lyam White – core member of the nationally-acclaimed physical theatre troupe UMO Ensemble (Fail Better, Red Tiger Tales, Squeeze). His direction is accompanied by the crisp choreography of Fosse Jack, storybook-reminiscent scenic design by Sarah E. Miller, and (other)worldly costume design by Ramona Rhapsody and Sailor St. Claire.

Noveltease Company members Al Lykya, Anya Knees, Carson St. Clair, Miss Elaine Yes, Onyx Asili, Ramona Rhapsody, Sailor St. Claire, and Scarlett Folds will star alongside returning guest artist Willy Nilly.
