Seattle International Dance Festival

June 10 - June 18

SEATTLE, WA – The Seattle International Dance Festival (SIDF) celebrates its 18th year with 9 days of performances, over 100 artists and more than 20 different dance troupes from across the globe. With special guest curators Eva Stone and Donald Byrd, SIDF is helping fuel the PNW and greater world dance ecosystem.

The beehive of creativity starts buzzing on June 10th with an opening night kick off. Guest curator, Donald Byrd, presents his own work with Olympic Ballet Theater, alongside AZOTH Dance Theater (France). The festival closes June 18 with guest curator Eva Stone presenting works by Price Suddarth with his new company, JUMPKUT, recent NYC dance world transplant Emily Schoen Branch, Khambatta Dance Company, and Victoria Gutierrez (Mexico/Seattle).

Over twenty dance works will be presented over the course of the festival; musical collaborations and international exchanges abound with themes that range from the amusing, to the penetrating and impactful. Topics include everything from packing boxes to dark romanticism, and even parenthood.
In-person tickets can be purchased for the 2023 Seattle International Dance Festival with a different show every night, featuring guests artists from France, Germany, India the US, and a special South Korea Fest the second weekend of the festival. Audiences are invited to experience the excitement of a profusion of local, national, and international contemporary dance. Ticket buyers can select from individual show options or buy a pass to see it all, with two pass options to choose from.
