SUMMARY:Queen of the Sky: A Demon Ballet
DESCRIPTION:Queen of the Sky is an original production from Not Man Apart that fuses breathtaking aerial arts\, acrobatics\, dance\, and immersive physical theatre into one visceral journey. As creatures emerge from the darkness\, the line between audience and performer begins to blur. You are part of the experience\, following our heroine pilot\, Aelia\, into the storm that unleashes a sinister demon. Expect jaw-dropping stunts\, haunting visuals\, cinematic sound track\, humor and suspense\, and a story about courage\, resilience\, and reclaiming your power. \nYour experience begins the moment you arrive. Guests will enter through The Lab\, where you’ll be offered a complimentary lab coat to wear during the performance. Whether you wear it as part of the experience or as protection from the occasional theatrical blood splatter is entirely up to you. VIP ticket holders will have an extra thrill\, seated in our optional Splash Zone\, where the action (and a little theatrical blood) might get just close enough to leave its mark. Keep your focus\, lest you be taken under the influence of the Demon! \nWhether you’re a theatre lover\, circus enthusiast\, horror fan\, or simply looking for a one-of-a-kind Halloween experience\, Queen of the Sky promises a night you’ll be talking about long after the final bow. \nThe story of Queen of the Sky mashes up classic horror and American Imperialism in the 1940’s with ancient demon lore and brazen nuclear testing in the South Pacific. A meaningful love story between a female pilot and her navigator quite literally spirals out of control into a crash landing on a toxic island\, resulting in a mortal battle with a hive-mind mutant from another dimension. Whether our monsters are imagined\, the struggle with addiction\, paralyzing fear\, and powerlessness are always real.

SUMMARY:Dance Theatre of Harlem
DESCRIPTION:Dance Theatre of Harlem is a leading dance institution of unparalleled global acclaim\, encompassing a world-class company\, a professional studio school\, a leading arts education program-Dancing Through Barriers®\, and community engagement activities. Each component of Dance Theatre of Harlem carries deep commitment towards enriching the lives of young people and adults around the world through the arts. \nThe Seattle program will include the following performances: \nPassage of Being\nChoreography by Jodie Gates\nPassage of Being premiered as part of the DTH’s 2025 New York Season. A circular\, and physical work\, Passageof Being unfolds in three cinematic movements set to the evocative music of Oscar-nominated composer Ryan Lott (“Everything Everywhere All at Once”). Shifting perspectives and the bittersweet beauty of time’s swift journey are brought to life through Gates’ expressive choreography and inventive lighting by Michael Korsch with elegant costumes by Martha Chamberlain. At its heart of this elliptic ballet is the majestic and haunting Son Lux song\, “Don’t Say It’s Too Late.” Gates weaves these elements into a poignant reflection on love\, connection\, and the power of the present. \nReturn\nChoreography by Robert Garland\nReturn is a soulful\, high-octane celebration to the timeless sounds of James Brown and Aretha Franklin.  Return was choreographed for Dance Theatre of Harlem’s 30th anniversary by DTH Artistic Director Robert Garland. Garland calls the ballet’s style “post-modern urban neoclassicism – an attempt to fuse an urban physical sensibility and a neoclassical one.” Staged for 12 dancers to songs performed by James Brown and Aretha Franklin\, Return is “… a witty fusion of ballet technique and street gait whose irony toward rhythm-and- blues had the audience in stitches.” (The New York Times) \nFirebird\nChoreography by John Taras\n“Firebird\,” where a Russian folk tale about the triumph of love over evil is reimagined in a luscious Caribbean setting. John Taras’ choreography\, paired with Stravinsky’s iconic score\, comes to life through the inimitable multihyphenated Geoffrey Holder’s vibrant sets and costumes. This production\, a DTH signature classic\, was first created in 1982 and captivated audiences when it toured across the world. “…it does one thing other versions do not – send its audience into a whooping spell of delirium.” – The New York Times

SUMMARY:SENSORIUM: Alana O. Rogers Dance Company
DESCRIPTION:Alana O. Rogers Dance Company presents \nFractured \nA new contemporary dance work \nSet on the immersive SENSORIUM installation at Base Camp Studios 2 \nAlana O’Farrell Rogers presents Fractured\, a contemporary dance work featuring 17 local\ndancers inside a custom set by seven local visual artists. A commentary on the fragmentation\nof our attention through technology and its design\, the work responds to the inundation of\ninformation in modern life and how it has shattered our capacity to focus\, leaving us inattentive\,\nblank\, unfeeling. Fractured investigates the consequences of that reality on our most intimate\nrelationships and greater social fabric.\nRogers brought in Stocker and Loopstra to curate a visual art installation to be used as a set for\nFractured. When Nick Ferderer and his team at Base Camp Studios 2 gave Rogers three full\nmonths in which to program\, it opened the door for SENSORIUM’s installation to be used as a\nset for multiple additional performances. Rogers has since curated other performances from\nSeattle’s contemporary dance and drag scenes to complete the calendar. \n**The performance on Sunday\, November 1 at 6 pm is specifically geared towards all ages\,\nincluding children under 12. All ages are welcome at any performance.** \nOctober 23\, 24\, 30\, November 6\, 7\, 2026 at 8 pm\nNovember 1\, 2026 at 6 pm \nTICKETS: https://www.alanaorogers.org/sensorium \nAbout SENSORIUM\nSENSORIUM is an immersive installation at Base Camp Studios 2. Seven visual artists will\nconstruct an “eclectic mansion” of rooms\, each with a distinct aesthetic voice\, from minimalist\nto maximal. Using sculpture\, murals\, textiles\, found objects\, video projection\, and lighting\, the\ninstallation will create layered\, sensorial spaces that visitors can walk through and inhabit. The\nexperience of each room will act to mirror our nervous systems in the face of constant\noverstimulation from technology. SENSORIUM was collectively curated by Esther Loopstra and\nAlaina Stocker\, with input from Alana O’Farrell Rogers. \nVisual artists include: Loopstra\, Stocker\, Nadia Ahmed\, Maayan Haim\, Nahom Ghirmay\, Marisa\nManso\, and Cam Smith. \nA central feature of this installation is collaboration. Outside of daytime gallery hours\,\nSENSORIUM will serve as a set for evening performances in a cross-disciplinary series where\ndance\, drag\, and visual art intersect. Alana O’Farrell Rogers has curated a not-to-be-missed\nline-up\, including her own Alana O. Rogers Dance Company; drag performances from Seattle’s\nbest: TUSH\, Glory Hole\, and High F@ggotry; and CO-\, the dance production company famous\nfor blending cutting edge dance with socializing at their Performance + Party events. \nGallery hours when performances are not in session will be posted on a weekly basis.\nSENSORIUM will also host a figure drawing session and an artist talk-back during the run of\nthe show.

George Balanchine’s haunting one-act ballet La Sonnambula\, the tale of a beautiful sleepwalker and the misfortune in her wake\, returns to PNB after a 10-year absence. Two contrasting pieces by Alejandro Cerrudo highlight his moody (Silent Ghost) and witty (PACOPEPEPLUTO) sides\, giving you a full picture of this modern chorographer’s style. And\, as a special treat\, principal dancer Kyle Davis will create a world premiere work inspired by Edgar Allan Poe’s famous narrative poem “The Raven.”

Originating as a one-off basement show where five performers\nwere invited to forgo the typical four-minute lip sync\, Glory Hole grew into an award-winning\nshow where audiences might see and interact with truly anything—durational work\,\nimprovisations\, interactive visual art installations\, and pop-up performances\, which\nspontaneously occur over the course of a night. The glory is in the unexpected. \nAbout High F@ggotry\nCreated to highlight Seattle’s hottest\, most original\, and most acclaimed queer artists\, High\nF@ggotry is a place for performers to put their wildest ideas and most classic talents into\naction. On top of quarterly shows at the Unicorn\, High F@ggotry collaborates across mediums\nto showcase a wide net of queer talent. In this edition\, High F@ggotry presents: Hotline! A\ncontinuous track of beeps rings that tie together sultry phone conversations\, dial-tone glamour\,\nand signal boosting pop divas! The question is\, what happens when a stranger calls? \nAbout TUSH\nTUSH has been a staple of Seattle drag and entertainment since Betty Wetter stepped foot in\nthe Clock-out Lounge back in 2018. Featuring two casts of seasoned performers and a rotation\nof world-class guests\, TUSH has created a space for exceptional art and community.\nAudiences have become family with each passing year as TUSH has grown. Stepping out from\ntheir usual home on Beacon Hill\, what happens when you take this cast and put them into an\nimmersive new space? Let’s find out! \nAbout SENSORIUM\nSENSORIUM is an immersive installation at Base Camp Studios 2.
