SUMMARY:CICADA SYMPHONY
DESCRIPTION:spring: viscous energy moving low— all humid sweat dripped back down to soft earth. we have been here before— not just once or twice\, but thousands of times. every ending knows that everything will begin again. every time we began to be crushed out\, every cell in our bodies sing out & i we return over & over— an embodiment of joy that makes sense for us\, here & now\, in these bodies. \nbloodsugar presents: cicada symphony; the life cycle of the cicada experienced as an experimental performance of sound and movement. sonic sensory by seattle noise duo Till the Teeth; spring duet by the vibrant & unpredictable Alethea Alexander and maia melene d’urfé; & finally\, the ephemeral\, cicada cycle somatic composition brought to life by Birdy Adler\, Lydia Jewel Gerard\, Tshedzom\, Lou Chow\, sullivan forderhase\, and rawivati.
