Drama Tops’ newest Queer Tragedy, “DADS,” is a holesome, sci-fi dreamscape about fatherhood that is guaranteed to blow your mind and stick with you for years.
In “DADS”, Elby and Shane are confronted with the largest demon they have yet to face, their purpose. This deeply existential and heartfelt dance odyssey between two platonic lovers interrogates queer culture and Elby and Shane’s relationships to their fathers, all while trying to figure out their role in making the world a better place.
They grip each other as they gasp for air. They dive head first into the chaotic waters of grief, and loss, as they sift through the sands of death and distance on the shores of masculinity. They bump. They grind. They fail to procreate.
