Event Series: Etymology of Being

Etymology of Being

May 10, 2025 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
$10 – $20
BKirk Dance welcomes you to our second evening-length work, Etymology of Being.
This work contains five separate sections with each company member choreographing a piece where their name serves as inspiration – looking into etymology, meaning, symbolism, and their relationship to their own name.
Three additional dancers from the Seattle dance scene have also been invited to explore this theme in a short form by creating solos to be presented throughout the evening investigating the “inspired by your name” prompt in whatever way makes sense for them.
BKirk Dance Company Members: Ansley Dawn, Olivia Evans, Nicole Flores, Madeleine Gregor, Bridget Kirk, Simone Power
Soloists: Megan Margaret Moore, Meredith Pellon, Shayley Timm
