Want to talk about dance? Want to learn more?
In addition to post-show Q&As put on by the presenting company, two organizations have started peripatetic programs you can join—for free. I haven’t attended either one yet, but I’ve heard the organizers talk about dance before and found their comments very interesting. In fact, two of them have contributed articles to SeattleDances: Marcie Sillman and Josh Windsor.
KUOW’s Front Row Center arts club starts up this month…every month a different art form…with group discounts for some shows and additional materials online. It’s like a book club, but for the arts. Marcie Sillman and Dave Beck lead the conversation. Click here for their website.
Spectrum’s Reading Contemporary Dance series started up again in Fall 2009. The focus here is, as you can see from their name, contemporary dance. Josh Windsor leads the conversation. Click here to learn how to join.
Below, you’ll find the performances these groups are attending. Go figure: both are starting 2010 with Whim W’Him…one Saturday night and one Sunday night.
Of course, you’re welcome to continue the conversation here on SeattleDances too.
