Semilla Flamenca Student Showing

New to flamenco and Mexican Folk dance? Immerse yourself in the people’s dances of Southern Spain and Mexico when you see the family friendly Semilla Flamenca Student Showcase.
Saturday May 9th will focus on Spain and feature one of the best flamenco dancers from Cadiz, Spain. Sunday May 10th will focus on Mexico when the World Youth Orchestra will play to celebrate Mother’s Day a la Mexicana!
Semilla Flamenca has been teaching the flamenco classes in Bellevue School District’s Puesta del Sol Elementary, an international Spanish academy school. Puesta students will be featured in the performances.
Audiences are treated to a range of experience levels from adults, to young children just starting out. Age doesn’t always correlate with experience level. Last year the teens were featured in Seattle International Dance Festival with their version of Bolero.
Paulina Chalita from Guadalajara, Mexico leads Semilla Flamenco—the only school specializing in flamenco in the Seattle area.
Join us for an event filled with color, vibrant music, ruffles, and joy!
